Healthy Living vs. Harmful Living, It's All Part of the Platinum Principle

As you may have read in a recent newsletter, my dog Spirit had cancer. I say "had" because all visible signs of tumors are now gone.

I thought about how we managed that and realized that many people are probably quite interested in the whole how to deal with cancer issue.

First of all, I have to say that I am not a doctor. Therefore, I am not authorized to diagnose or treat disease and so this discussion is simply me sharing my story about my dog having cancer and the things we did to reduce and eliminate tumors in her belly.

When Dreams Become Reality - Attaining the Magnificent Self

Its been almost 20 years since I gave up "normal" life. The high powered engineering/management job was financially rewarding, yet entirely too stressful. I care a great deal about people and felt immense empathy for the employees who reported to me. I worried about the job and the people more than was healthy.

You've read the story of how I left corporate life - jumping off the cliff into the great unknown - moving to an island, co-founding a non-profit for dolphins and whales, and changing my name. Even though I left the East Coast, seeds had been sown with people and ideas I had forgotten. They were secretly being nurtured and have been growing all this time.

Finding the Courage to Be Your Magnificent Self and Achieve Your Goals

From early December and continuing to this day, we have been going through a massive shift on a global scale. Consciousness is rising - thankfully - all over the planet. I personally feel like the Phoenix rising from the ashes. Its not completely visible yet, but for those who are sensitive, nothing feels the same.

You need to shake off the dross from the hardship of the previous 10 years, and step into the new world and the new you - the Magnificent U. It is SO MUCH EASIER now to do so!

That doesn't mean all the pesky unpleasant life experiences aren't still around, because they are. In some case they feel monumental. But staying centered, connected to your higher wisdom . . .

The New Energy and Finding Center and Balance

The last few days have been very intense for many people. Staying balanced and at peace has been quite challenging with the energies of late. Find your center Dear One! Seek assistance when necessary. Know that you are not alone in your unusual feelings and experiences. Much of humanity recently took a quantum leap and things are trying to integrate and settle down.

Its all part of the journey . . .

Anger and How It Can Often be Acting Out Inappropriately

I am so often "inspired" to write a message when I see interesting posts on Facebook. This one came after I saw an image of a car that someone had spray painted the following words on: "I hope she was worth it."

Various people were talking about how childish it was to damage property that way. This was my response.

"Ever heard that Carrie Underwood song? 'I dug my key into the side of his pretty little souped up 4-wheel drive . . . '

I never damaged anything, but when I was in the middle of dealing with divorcing my cheating husband, I used to belt that out at the top of my lungs. It was a powerful form of energy release. And it used to make me laugh.

There are a ton of emotions that get involved in romance, especially when sex is involved. Never underestimate the power of a woman scorned. She is liable to do absolutely anything. And most of it is pure adrenaline. The level of her love is the level of her rage.

Love is not a rational emotion. Nor is the pain and anguish of a break up. There are people who will literally commit suicide because their guy or girl breaks up with them and for at least a temporary amount of time they just don't think they can live or breath without the other person.

Its sad. And yes, some actions are absolutely childish.

However, humans are not automatons who run on logic. They are emotional beings that get bent out of shape over things. It makes them interesting. It also makes them dangerous on occasion.

I say always treat others the way you wish to be treated. If you can't handle your anger then get help. Learn to laugh. Learn to love yourself no matter what happens. It makes loving others a whole lot easier.

Question - What Favorite Books Do You Simply Have to Have on Your Shelf?

What Favorite Books Do You Simply Have to Have on Your Shelf? Or on your Kindle, Nook, etc?

I have several favorite books that I just can't seem to live without. The Life and Teachings of the Masters of the Far East are at the top of that list.

How about you? What are the top 3 books that you just don't think you could live without?

A Prayer for Humanity by Takara

Lakota elder, Selo Black Crow, once told me that, "When a group of women come together to pray, anything is possible." He suggested that we change the timing of the prophecies.

As soon as he said that to me, I began thinking, 'Why just change the timing of the prophecies? Why not change the prophecies themselves?"

Regardless of your particular political preference, religion, gender, economic status, ethnicity, or sexual orientation, its time for all of us to come together in prayer / meditation / intention for the common good.

I remember as a child thinking that all of life was black or white. This is good and that is bad. This is right and that is wrong. As I get older, the more gray the world appears. Just because someone does not believe as I believe or look the way I look does not mean they are a bad person to be feared, judged, or made wrong.

The Golden Rule is taught in every religion. Yet few people make it a daily practice - particularly when it comes to people unlike themselves. They point fingers and condemn others, spewing hatred all the while. This is not the way of Jesus. This is not the way of Buddha. This is not the way of any great teacher who came to help humanity help themselves. (http://www.spiritofnature.org/goldenrule.htm)

I find our diversity refreshing, interesting, and something to celebrate.

Politics and the Golden Rule

Isn't it interesting how seemingly nice people suddenly grow fangs when it comes to politics and religion?

I will be SO GLAD when elections are over and I can stop quickly scrolling past all the hate images and remarks about presidents, candidates, and political parties while shaking my head thinking "good grief."

The golden rule - which is included in every major religion - clearly states that we are to treat others the way we wish to be treated. I've never found any exception clause anywhere that says - except when you are talking politics, or race, or religion, or gender, or economic status, or . . .
