A dear friend recently posted a question about whether the human race was ever going to get over their anger, hatred, judgment, etc. of others.
This was my response:
"Its a matter of consciousness. Those of us who have risen above that level of existence have to stand firmly in who we are. It helps others cross that magical line in the sand into higher consciousness. The more people who cross the line, the easier it is for the rest of the folks. Eventually its the hundredth monkey phenomena. Despite appearances, we really are getting there.
One lives in fear, judgment, hatred, shame, blame, victimhood, etc. until something shifts. Until they have eyes to see and ears to hear, they simply lack the capacity to do otherwise.
Everyone is on their own spiritual journey of evolution. Our job is to be there to help if and when the time comes. They truly are doing the best they can. Mean people are typically only mean because they themselves are in great emotional pain and suffering. Doesn't excuse it. But it does help view it from a different perspective - which is always the high road.
Its amazing what showing love and compassion can do for someone."
Have a deLightful day,
